St George's Summer Schools 2024

St George's is offering four different summer schools this year. Choose from performing arts, acting, art and songwriting. Each summer school is organised and run by St George's teachers who are specialists in their field. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.

Acting for Theatre Summer School

Students have the chance to work with St George's drama teachers to put together a play in a week, then perform it for their parents on the final day. 
When: Monday to Friday, 19th to 23rd August, 9am to 4pm (Friday's performance will finish at approximately 8pm) 
Who: Students aged 8 to 14 years
Where: St George's Auditorium
Lunch: Students will need to bring a packed lunch and snacks each day. Pizza and drinks will be provided on the final day
Price: €430, includes a pizza party on performance day

Book Acting for Theatre Summer School

Songwriting Summer School

Award-winning songwriter and record producer Camille Bloom, who is also a music teacher at St George's, and her colleague Amanda Steinhauer host this four-day immersion into the craft of writing and producing songs. Learn the art of writing chord progressions, catchy melodies and powerful lyrics. There will be fun songwriting challenges and a song share circle at the end of each day, and participants will have the chance to showcase their original song at the end of the week.
When: Monday to Thursday, 26th to 29th August, 9am to 3.30pm
Who: Suitable for students aged 11 to 17 years
Where: St George's music wing and Auditorium 
Lunch: Students will need to bring packed lunches and snacks each day. Pizza and drinks will be provided on the Thursday
Price: €240, includes pizza party on the final day
