Notes from Admissions St George's International school in Luxembourg is just that - an international school that has adopted the English educational syllabus. The school is continuing to grow and now includes both primary and secondary students. The quality of teaching is high, and the standard of education is proven by the excellent SATS results. The children are happy and industrious. The pupil/teacher ratio allows staff adequate time to handle each child's individual needs.
St George's is renowned in Luxembourg for its caring family atmosphere. Everybody knows and helps each other and a child feels it has real value and is an important part of the school community.
Due to the natural turnover of children as parent's jobs take them away from Luxembourg there is a constant need to promote the school and introduce new pupils. In recognition of this need, a specific Marketing Team was created in 1997. The marketing office provides a focal point for those looking for information regarding St. George's. It deals with all new enquiries, sending out any relevant documentation and organising tours of the school for prospective parents.
Mrs Kerry Tranter is our Admissions Officer. She is a parent at the school whose previous career encompassed many areas of the marketing spectrum. She can provide information necessary to new families about the daily life of the school, and other aspects about living in Luxembourg. This can include local information about Guiding and Scouting; swimming, ballet, fencing, indoor climbing, tennis and music lessons; and all the antidotes necessary to cope with just about all the frustrations new parents can face when moving to a new country.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any queries.
